Biography...

I live and work in Jefferson, TX,
a small town located in the Northeastern part of the
state. Please click on the Historic Jefferson
link above to see the charm of our little town.
I was born in Ft. Worth, TX in
1943 but lived most of my life in New Mexico. After
coming to the University of Texas at Austin in 1961, I
received my Bachelors and Masters Degrees in
Mathematics and Physics. I lived in Austin until 2002,
working as a computer scientist, business owner and
telecommunications consultant.
Since my woodshop days in
secondary school, I have been fascinated with the
beauty and feel of wood. These early years started me
on my path of making cabinets and furniture for the
past 40 years.
While having a complete power
workshop in Jefferson, my real love is building fine
furniture with traditional hand tools. My furniture is constructed using
traditional joinery. All joints are either mortise and
tenon or dovetails and are handcrafted and fitted to
achieve maximum beauty and durability. I have also
spent extensive time developing (and re-discovering)
time proven techniques and material for finishing my
furniture items.
Each item of furniture is signed and
dated.
